Bryan Mumford

Bryan’s lifelong passion for firearms began in childhood, fostered by his father’s emphasis on the importance of safe handling and operation of firearms.

In 2011, just two days before his 21st birthday, Bryan founded PDX Arsenal LLC. Determined to transform his passion into a profession, he remained steadfast in his belief in himself and his ability to achieve his goals.

Bryan’s career began by educating civilians on what safe firearm ownership, handling, and operating looks like.

Guided by his father’s business philosophy of prioritizing people over profit, Bryan worked tirelessly on nights and weekends—often after completing 50-hour workweeks in his manufacturing leadership roles—to turn his dream of educating and coaching students into a lasting career.

He gained diverse industry experience by assisting in overseeing the production and assembly departments of renowned firearm manufacturers such as Crimson Trace Corporation, Sig Sauer Electro-Optics, and Smith & Wesson Corp.

However, Bryan recognized that his true calling lies in empowering others through exceptional education and training.

With undeniable passion, Bryan and all PDX Arsenal coaches take pride in teaching students from every walk of life to build their confidence in safe firearm handling and operation.

He places an equal level of importance on coaching PDX Arsenal students in order to assist them in achieving their individual goals.

Bryan’s unwavering commitment to his students’ success fosters a deep sense of trust and loyalty.

As a result, he continues to receive steadfast support from his students long after they have completed his classes.

In turn, PDX Arsenal students have played an integral role in the company’s growth.

This has helped it become a highly respected and reputable leader in firearm education and training.

Bryan attributes his success to God, his family, his mentors, and the unwavering support of his students.

Bryan has personally certified thousands of Oregon and Washington residents where he is revered as one of Portland’s top coaches.

David Martinez

David Martinez has had a lifelong interest in firearms, but it wasn’t until 2017 that he made the conscious decision to start taking firearm training more seriously. He continuously attends a wide variety of courses as a student which have enhanced his skillsets and allowed him to be a better protector of his family, his community, as well as himself.

Throughout this process David developed a strong passion for educating others, and instantly became an asset when he joined PDX Arsenal in June, 2023.

David sets himself apart from other instructors in the industry through his abilities to teach his classes at PDX Arsenal in relevant, effective, and enjoyable ways which our students have come to expect when signing up.

David is bi-lingual which provides him the unique capability of teaching PDX Arsenal courses in both English, as well as Spanish

He holds strong to his faith life, and has a deep love for his family, his community, and his country. David is a proud father and devout husband, and has a deep love for The Lord. PDX Arsenal is honored to have David Martinez on our team.

Kyle KP Sawyer

KP owns and operates Rocketshark Social LLC, Portland’s premier social-media marketing company.

Since becoming PDX Arsenal’s Director of Marketing in 2019, KP has taken the marketing and branding departments to new heights.

Kyle excels in business marketing, but is also extremely talented at gunsmithing, machining work, and has recently become involved in competition shooting matches like IDPA and USPSA.

KP’s uniquely personalized and unparalleled marketing tactics have been instrumental in growing PDX Arsenal into the 5-star rated training company we are today.

Kyle KP Sawyer

Kyle “KP” Sawyer owns and operates Rocketshark Social LLC, Portland’s premier social-media marketing company.

Since becoming the director of marketing for PDX Arsenal in 2019, Kyle has also managed the marketing departments for other large firearm companies like Colt and CZ.
